BRAZIL BY OPI MINI LIQUID SAND POLISHES

Part of the Brazil by OPI collection was 4 mini OPI Liquid Sand polishes. They're GORGEOUS.

Brazil by OPI including these four liquid sand polishes are available at HB Beauty Bar. You get these four mini polishes for just $11.95. Don't forget to use my code "MODNAILS" at checkout for 15% off!

What's A Little Rain Forest?: My favorite out of the four. It's a gorgeous bright blue. This picture does not do it justice. As with all liquid sands you don't add top coat to get the textured effect. But when you add a topcoat you also get a gorgeous glitter. So for each liquid sand I have a picture of it without top coat and one with topcoat.
Samba-dy Loves Purple: This bright liquid sand polish is gorgeous. It's a bright, summery purple.
I'm Brazil Nuts Over You: This is a gorgeous pink textured polish. Bright and another must have for spring/summer.
You're So Flippy Floppy: How can you not be happy just by looking at this polish? I'm not a fan of yellows but this yellow liquid sand polish is so pretty and fun.

When OPI came out with their Liquid Sand polishes I wasn't really a fan. It wasn't until they brought bright colors that I started to appreciate them. And these Brazil by OPI Liquid Sand polishes exceeded my expectations. All four of them are so pretty. "What's A Little Rain Forest?" is my favorite with "Samba-dy Loves Purple" coming in a close second.

OPI BRAZIL 2014 COLLECTION SWATCHES & REVIEW

The OPI Brazil 2014 has finally arrived and I am in LOVVVE. This collection and Gwen for OPI definitely exceeded my expectations. I feel like Brazil by OPI gave us colors we haven't seen before.

Brazil by OPI is now available at HB Beauty Bar and if you use my code "MODNAILS" at checkout you get 15% off!

Below are all twelve colors and my swatches / nail art that I did using these beautiful babies. I will have a separate post with the 4 mini OPI liquid sand polishes that are part of the collection!
Don't Bossa Nova Me Around: First up is "Don't Bossa Nova Me Around." A pale, creamy, taupe-y nude. This is two coats with Seche Vite Top Coat. I love this. It's elegant and so versatile. I can't wait to pair it with glitter. The bow is from Amazon and studs are from Dollar Nail Art.
Live.Love.Carnaval: Live.Love.Carnaval is a creamy, bright coral. It's perfect for spring and summer. It's not a neon polish but it is definitely bright and so pretty. I added Swarovski rhinestones and a few roses that I did with white acrylic paint. This is two coats with Seche Vite Top Coat.
Toucan Do It If You Try and I Just Can't Cope-acabana: "Toucan Do It If You Try" is a bright, fun orange and "I Just Can't Cope-acabana" is a bright, happy yellow. I really loved these two colors so I decided to do a gradient with them using a makeup brush. I usually don't like yellows but this is so pretty. It's bright and not an ugly dark yellow. Perfect for spring/summer and makes me want to go to the bed.
Taupe-less Beach: "Taupe-less Beach" is a beautiful creamy tope. I love that this collection has so many colors that are perfect for winter (even though we really haven't had a winter in Southern California) and for work. This is so pretty and classy. I added a snake charm from Daily Charme.
I Sao Paulo Over There: "I Sao Paulo Over There" reminds me of Starbucks haha. It's a beautiful purplish gray. Another perfect winter color. This is two coats with Seche Vite on top.
AmazON ... AmazOFF: "AmazON...AmazOFF" is a really pretty shiny teal green. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.
Where Did Suzi's Man-go?: "Where Did Suzi's Man-Go" is my FAVORITE. I feel that this is different from everything OPI has given us. If they have, I haven't seen it. This is a gorgeous mango orange cream polish. It's a perfect spring color. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.
Kiss Me I'm Brazilian: "Kiss Me I'm A Brazilian" is another favorite. It's a bright, gorgeous pink. It's on the border of neon but not too bright. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.
OPI Scores A Goal: I love burgundies and this doesn't disappoint. "OPI Scores A Goal" is a perfect winter burgundy color. This is two coats topped with Seche Vite.
Red Hot Rio: "Red Hot Rio" is a gorgeous, ruby red. It's a jelly polish and this is three thin coats topped with Seche Vite.
Next Stop... The Bikini Zone: Last is "Next Stop... The Bikini Zone." It's a shimmery purple polish with tiny silver glitter pieces. This picture doesn't do it justice. It's really pretty in person.

My favorites were "Where Did Suzi's Man-go?" and "Don't Bossa Nova Me Around." All polishes were super easy to apply and all of them but "Red Hot Rio" were opaque in two coats.

I think this is my favorite collection from OPI in a while. I said that with Gwen for OPI but it's true again haha. This collection makes me SOO excited for the Fifa World Cup! Growing up it was always a tradition in my house to wake up early in the summer to watch the games.

Brazil by OPI is available at HB Beauty Bar. Don't forget to use my code "MODNAILS" for 15% off! Stay tuned for a post on the 4 mini OPI Liquid Sand polishes from Brazil by OPI!

LOVE NAILS - HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Products Used:
When I think of love I think of my family, my husband, and my best friends.

When I think of love I think of the love that my mom has shown me throughout my life and how she's always put her kids before herself. I think of my little sister who has grown to be such an amazing little woman and how talented she is. And of my two brothers who although we may not always get along we still love each other. I think of my dad who always spoiled me and gave me 210 roses on my 21st birthday.

When I think of love I think of my older brother and his wife and my beautiful baby niece and how happy I am that she's the newest addition to our family.

When I think of love I think of my husband and how he makes me laugh everyday.

When I think of love I think of my two best friends and how I know they'll always be there for me through thick and thin.

Happy Valentine's Day to you all, may your day be filled with lots and lots of love. Whether it be from your significant other or from your friends and family. Valentine's Day isn't just about having a lover to share it with but it's a day about love, so go spread it :)

BLACK CAT LACQUER

I've been a fan of Black Cat Lacquer since I started my instagram (@modnails) and I'm so glad to finally own some.

Here are some swatches of Black Cat Lacquer polishes including some from the 2014 Valentine's Collection.
Evergreen & Poison Apple: "Evergreen" and "Poison Apple" are two beautiful thermal polishes. The tips are what it looks like in warm temperatures and near my cuticle is what it looks like in room/cold temperature. "Evergreen" actually gets darker with heat but I took the picture a little after I took my hands out of warm water. The fox charm is from Daily Charme.
Heart & Soul: This is my favorite out of the collection. This picture does not do it justice. I'm sad my camera couldn't capture how pink it really is. "Heart & Soul" is a purple/pink jelly glitter polish. This is three coats topped with Seche Vite. It has fuchsia circular glitters and it's infused with purple and pink glitter.
My Blue Valentine: "My Blue Valentine" is a gem. It's a black jelly polish filled with blue and turquoise glitter. I love the combination of these colors. The gem on my fourth finger is from Daily Charme.
Magic Spells and When Stars Align: "Magic Spells" is my second favorite. It's a holographic purple jelly thermal polish! The tips are what it looks like when it's warm and near my cuticle is room/cold temperature. I topped my fourth finger with "When Stars Align" which is a silver glitter with stars and a mix of blue, red, green, and holographic glitter. It's beautiful and I'm going to have to try it over a white.
Love My Way & Stripped: "Love My Way" is a perfect Valentiene's day glitter. It's a red jelly with pink and red glitters. This is three thin coats topped with Seche Vite. I paired it with "Stripped" which is a holographic nude and so beautiful. I was able to wear this one to work as well. It's so elegant. The charm on my ring finger is from Daily Charme!
Chivalry Is Dead: First is "Chivalry Is Dead," a gray, jelly themal glitter polish. The tips is what it looks like in hot temperatures and the half near my cuticle is what it looks like normally in the cold or room temperature. This is two thin coats. I love this. I wore it to work and kept staring at my nails when I washed my hands haha.

Every single polish from Black Cat Lacquer was so pretty. I loved the thermals. Each thermal went to a darker shade in hot/warm heat. Be sure to check out the rest of their polishes at www.blackcatlacquer.com, they have so many beautiful glitters and holos!

DIP NAIL LACQUER

Here are a few polishes from Dip Nail Lacquer. These polishes are BEAUTIFUL. Every single polish was easy to apply and had a shiny finish. I fell in love with every single color.
Nude In Greece: Heart leopard nails! I went with a different color scheme from my YouTube tutorial and used "Nude In Greece" from Dip Nail Lacquer. Such a perfect nude and a definite must have. For the red I used OPI's "Over & Over A-Gwen" from HB Beauty Bar (use my code MODNAILS for 10% off) and the lips were done using a stamp from Bundle Monster (BM 303).
Norwegian Sky: This is "Norwegian Sky" from Dip Nail Lacquer. This blue is a whimsical, magical dream. I'm in love with this color and have to say that it's my favorite from this polish line. The charm on my ring finger is from Daily Charme! I applied it over my top coat but for long wear use nail art glue!
Here's another look using "Norwegian Sky." I used a chain from an old earring and studs from Daily Charme.White is OPI's "Alpine Snow" and I used a black nail art polish for the tribal design. The glitter is OPI's "In True Stefani Fashion" from HB Beauty Bar (don't forget to use my code MODNAILS for 10% off) over China Glaze's "Glistening Snow."
Carribean Sand: This last look is a mix 'n match using the glitter from Gwen for OPI ("In True Stefani Fashion" from HB Beauty Bar over China Glaze's "Glistening Snow"). My middle finger is OPI's "Mod About You" and pointer and ring finger is Dip Nail Lacquer's "Carribean Sand" which is a beautiful sheer pinkish nude. I used four thin coats for full opacity and love the way the leopard came out on top of that. The charm on my middle finger and the cross charm are both from Daily Charme!

Overall I would give Dip Beauty nail Lacquer a 100 on a scale of 1-10. The colors are so beautiful I want to try them all.
